Each fan that enters the hospitality area or grandstand is only permitted to carry one soft-sided bag that can be no larger than 2,700 cubic inches. Fans are also limited to one clear plastic bag. Pets are allowed in assigned camping areas only — unless they are service animals. All pet owners are asked to clean up after their pets. Parking Prices It is always essential to understand parking before you arrive somewhere. Luckily, we are here to help you with that! Parking for daily race events is free, but if you want to reserve infield parking for an RV for the weekend, there will be a fee. The fee varies based on location in the infield. Each RV parking spot is 15x40 feet and includes an electrical hookup. Water is available, as is an RV dump station. Locations to Know In addition to parking, it helps to get oriented to where seats are and where you can pick up your tickets. Will call windows can be found at the front and backstretch ticket offices located near gates 16 and 3, respectively. As for seating, tastes may vary. But if you want to see the pit, you'll want to select seats at the front stretch. If the starting/finishing line is more your thing, you will want seats in section M. What Else is There? For fans of racing, both new and old, there is the Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum. The museum offers guests a tour of the history of the sport and allows fans to see the ways racing continues to evolve in the present day. For the gearheads out there, you can get an up-close look at parts, including an entire Hemi engine. There is a tunnel available to check out the museum for guests staying in the track's infield. Stay at the Track If you love the track so much that you don't want to miss a second of the action there, then why not stay there? That's shrimp, glass noodles, cilantro, scallions, fresh Thai basil, and more wrapped up in rice paper and served with a sweet chili sauce and sesame sauce you just can't stop eating. We also love the hurricane chicken and the red snapper with cashews. Order any of their food at the "Native Thai" spice level if you think you can handle it. Chopstix Orangeburg You'll find this wonderful place for Chinese takeout at 1000A Chestnut St. They open from 11 AM until 9:30 PM Monday through Thursday and from 11 AM until 10 PM on Friday and Saturday. They are closed on Sundays. Give them a call at 803-878-3821 if you want to order takeout and have it ready when you arrive. This is a clean, friendly place you'll definitely visit again. We like everything on their menu, but we're particularly fond of the potstickers, the egg drop soup, and the vegetable spring rolls. We also highly recommend the salt and pepper chicken stirfry with the ham fried rice. Tokyo Grill If Japanese food is what you're interested in, try this spot at 2847 North Rd. They are open from 11 AM until 9 PM every day, and you can call them at 803-878-3066 for takeout. We recommend their edamame, the gyoza, and the delicious hibachi shrimp in particular. Their Value Bowls are served with your choice of steamed or fried rice and come in chicken, shrimp, or steak. They have some sushi offerings as well, though it's best to order that in person when you visit. Expect generous portions for the price, fast service, and hot, fresh food. The staff are very friendly, and there's a decent selection for kids if you have some picky eaters who don't want anything exotic. We love that the spring rolls here are really crispy every time.
